On November 21, 2019, Authority Partners will be hosting the Dev Talks Meetup! The event will take place in the People’s (Kranceviceva 20) from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

DEV Talks is designed for sharing knowledge and experience. It covers two advanced industry topics and serves as a platform for learning the latest in IT and engaging in discussions and networking with peers. We are bringing top-notch lecturers from Authority Partners, two hours of interesting topics, drinks, and food, as well as networking.

First Talk

Ammar Arnautovic, Software Architect

Ammar is a Software Architect at Authority Partners with a decade of experience with IT systems in the corporate giants of the banking, mortgage and finance business. He enjoys reading about the innovations of the tech world, while seated next to his family on an aircraft to another amazing travel destination from his vacations bucket list.

“Synchronizing Large Databases From On-Prem to the Cloud”

Find out different ways to continuously synchronize 70 million records and a database with a disk size of around 40 GB from an on-premises SQL database, to a Microsoft cloud persistence system, while learning about the pros and cons of each approach.

Second Talk

Amra Behrem-Kovacic, Quality Assurance Engineer

Amra is a Quality Assurance Engineer at Authority Partners.  She has 9 years of experience in the IT industry with a focus on Test Automation. She is the wife of a programmer, mother of a 5-year-old boy, and a daughter. In her spare time, she likes to read about child psychology and development. She is very curious by nature, always trying to understand what is hiding beyond the obvious.

“BDD with SpecFlow”

SpecFlow is a testing framework which supports Behavior Driven Development (BDD). It lets us define application behavior in plain meaningful English text using a simple grammar defined by a language called Gherkin. In this presentation, Amra will show how we can bind business requirements to .Net code using SpecFlow, NUnit, and Selenium.
